The Project
Trumpington Meadows Land Company (TMLC) is a partnership between Grosvenor, a property company with over 300 years of experience, and Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS), one of the UK's largest pension funds. Both are committed to delivering progressive and high quality urban design solutions, which are sensitive to the local community and environment.
Grosvenor is a privately owned property group with offices in 19 of the world's most dynamic cities. Grosvenor is a world-leading developer of luxury residential property with a proud English heritage – and our work has been integral to several recent developments in 21st century Cambridge. Our extensive knowledge of Cambridge is based on 25 years experience in the city, and we continue to be strongly committed to its long-term development. Most recently, Grosvenor has developed Grand Arcade, a premium shopping destination in the heart of Cambridge that provides the city with top-class facilities.
USS (Universities Superannuation Scheme) is the pension fund for universities within the United Kingdom. It is the country's second largest private sector pension fund, with total property assets approaching £20bn.
Because of the importance we are placing on the natural and ecological aspects of the site, we are working with Wildlife Trust for Cambridgeshire, who are advising on and managing the extensive country park and farm land.
In February 2010 Barratt Homes signed a deal with Trumpington Meadows to deliver the first 350 homes to the north of the site.
Helping build the future of Cambridge
Trumpington Meadows is set to become one of the key residential development locations in the Cambridge area, delivering the new homes the city needs to support its future growth. 40% of the homes at Trumpington Meadows will be 'affordable' and delivered by Cambridge Partnerships who were appointed by the former Housing Corporation, (now the Homes and Communities Agency), to deliver the Cambridge Challenge.
Cambridgeshire Partnerships, a consortium of 5 registered providers, with bpha appointed as the lead association to provide 480 homes funded by the Homes and Communities Agency.
